SNOW IN HERTFORD HEATH

It's not unknown but is really quite uncommon - perhaps every five years or so?.  Anyway, this fall was on the night of 27/28th December 2000 - a little late to make a white Christmas, but very seasonal nevertheless.  It made London Road look very Arctic:

and the far end of Mount Pleasant was looking pleasant enough if you were well wrapped up

Haileybury was as grand as usual

By mid morning the sun had come through and a slow thaw was beginning, making College Road look better than ever.
